Ever wanted to know a brief synopsis of me? Well. Seems it's your lucky day. (and by brief I mean quite brief.... like really brief.... but it gives you a taste at least)
In one of my online classes, we had to post a discussion thingy with some info on ourselves (an introduction of sorts) and then post a question at the end that we were all supposed to answer. So far i've seen the standard "if you were stranded on a desert island, and could only take three things, what would they be and why?" or "who do you most admire in life?" questions... but I don't really care about those general boring things! eh. oh well.
This was my post. Think it's pretty accurate?
- My name is Lauren Hong (Laaren, not to be confused with Loren)
- This summer is my fifth semester here at USU, so I suppose that would make me a junior!
- Majoring in Journalism, technically, but my emphasis is in PR. So PR is what I consider to be my major.
- I'm minoring in English and Sociology
- I hail from Southeastern Idaho originally, and I can't let go of my Idaho pride enough to get residency yet... so I'm taking summer classes as I work through the process for this fall.
- I'm totally a night owl. There's just something about the peace of the night that I love
- I'm half Chinese, quarter scottish, and a quarter english... talk about mixed blood
- I like to drive fast, shop, go out to movies, travel, eat out at new places, live the city life, and then come home and sit out in those rural sun-kissed fields between the mountains we call home while I curl up with a good book for the entire afternoon
alrighty then.. time for the infamous question part.. how about this one?
Q: Is it better to:
1) raise cain on an issue and get results, but the people involved hate you
2) grumpily deal with a status quo you feel could be improved, but you keep everyone happy
3) other?
I'm going to be interested to see what anyone posts back. Also.... these are relatively generic facts. I'm going to think about my eccentricities and post a follow up later on what really makes me different! if I can think of any. ha.

I'll be excited to read the next post. I must agree it was quite brief! haha There is so much more to laauren I thought. lol Oh yeah where have you been all my life!!
Oh my Lauren. That is probably the blandest description of the entity that I know to be Lauren Karen Hong. (I think your middle name is Karen. I could be very well wrong, but for some reason in my mind it will always be Karen.) And to answer your question. I could actually go both ways on the matter. But instead of plainly falling in the middle, I'll take a side for pure discussion's sake.
I think that most times in life cause for you to live with the status quo even if you may be in disagreement with it. Life isn't about fixing the world to fit your needs. It's about living in a world that you have to mold yourself to. The purpose of life isn't to try to please yourself, it's to be flexible and learn how to interact with others. If you go about trying to change everything and cause a revolution every other day, you will build too many walls. Life is about building bridges.
